Transmission #002: Domain, Repo, and Hugo

A friend has been in town so I haven’t had as much time to work on Helerion lately—but I did manage to get some important groundwork done!

Domain & Repo

I purchased the domain helerion.com and created the GitHub repo at sagersmith8/helerion. All my code is pushed up and live. Getting it there was a bit of a journey: I had accidentally committed some large blobs, so I had to do some rework in the git history before I could push everything cleanly. Worth it though—everything’s in place now.

Blog → Hugo

I also got this blog converted over to Hugo so I can write and publish updates more easily. My previous setup was making a custom HTML page every time I wanted to write a post—no more of that; it’s all streamlined now.

Today

Oh, and today is my brother’s birthday—so that’s exciting! 🎂
